Well I once again got less than 50% correct but it was nowhere near as bad as Week 2's disaster. But I'll take a slight moral victory in correctly picking the Chiefs to beat the Patriots. It's gonna take a few weeks to dig myself out of the hole caused by my Week 2 picks, although at the rate I'm going I might as well get comfy in this hole.

All right enough football for this week. October is here and 2014 is three-fourths of the way over with. Time flies whether we want it to or not. So with it being October that usually means several things:
1. Halloween
2. Horror Movies
3. An abundance of ghost stories, unlucky symbols/numbers, and superstitions
4. An extremely overwhelming overabundance of pumpkin flavored foods and beverages
So with all that considered this month I plan on writing thirteen blog posts. I will still have my usual movie reviews and weekly football picks, but I will also be writing about certain horror movies that I like as well as other horror movies that I don't think are all that scary. Perhaps an edition of "I Finally Watched..." concerning a popular horror movie that I haven't seen yet. And also maybe some other random posts. Not quite sure what else to write about but I'm sure I can think of something to help fill out thirteen posts.
Now this all depends on time and resources. Fingers crossed, but I hope to have a job this month. Doing what exactly? Not sure yet. Just a job would be nice. I say that but then I get awfully picky about what jobs I apply for. But anyway if all goes well, I will have far less free time but once I figure out my work schedule I should be able to make time to blog.
And now to resources. Well...the battery in my MacBook Pro is on it's last leg. Even while connected to a charger my MacBook Pro won't last maybe thirty minutes at the most. And that's if I can actually get it to turn on. Sure it also needs a new optic drive, new operating system, and a new charger as well but the main issue is the battery. And of course the warranty is expired. While I will need a new laptop eventually, the plan for now will be to save up and buy a new battery so that I can at least have a working laptop. Eventually the plan will be to save up to buy a new laptop next year or the year after, but we shall see. I don't get paid to do this, nor is there a "SAVE JAKE'S MACBOOK PRO" fund. Might take a little bit of time...
So in the meantime I have two options:
Option 1) - The family computer. Competing with the rest of my family for time on the family computer to blog. With younger siblings wanting to use the computer for games or for homework and my mom working on her Master's degree and using the computer for class and homework, it gets pretty busy here. And the computer will occasionally crash without warning.
Option 2) - Library computers. Getting out of the house, traveling to one of the many libraries in town, and using one of the computers there to blog. Gets me out of the house, uses gas in my car, and depending on the time of day and at which library I'm at I can be on a computer for quite some time. In theory there shouldn't be any technical issues with these computers, but who knows. Usually I end up getting distracted watching music videos on YouTube or randomly browsing the internet. Helps that today I forgot my headphones at home.
So the bottom line is blogging won't be as convenient to do for now while my MacBook Pro has issues. But I will try my best.
